Springtime is around the corner – and not a moment too soon! This winter was brutal to say the least, and everyone is ready for warm weather! Admittedly, it’s hard sometimes to slow down and notice new flower buds emerging or the daylight hanging on a little longer. We roll right past the frost and right into summer missing everything in between. However, the gardener who is tiling, planting, pruning, and prepping knows exactly where, when, and how things are happening during any given season. The gardener sees everything from the honeybees to the spiders and appreciates their roles individually and as part of larger ecosystem.

In business, just as in life, everything and everyone has a role. Whether those roles are carried out by humans or processes, they feed into larger systems ultimately becoming that “garden” or in this case, a company. Similarly, a gardener may know where to plant flowers, but it’s the work of the bees that ensures those flowers thrive. At Catalina, it’s our employees.
